It was nominated for the 2002 Nebula Award for Best Novel and Hugo Award for Best Novel.[1][2] It won the Arthur C. Perdido Street Station is the first novel set in Bas-Lag, China Miéville's created world. It is Miéville's second novel, and was first published in 2001 by Macmillan.
